Jaime Pearson Joins Reach University's NCAD as Director of Operations & Health SME
As Director of Operations and Health SME, Jaime Pearson brings extensive leadership in healthcare workforce development to the National Center of the Apprenticeship Degree (NCAD), where she expands Apprenticeship Degree opportunities in healthcare, driving economic mobility for working adults.
Jaime started her career as a Program Coordinator and Recruiter at Banner Health, where her passion for empowering healthcare career growth first began. In her tenure with Banner Health, she implemented the Business Internship Program, led the Recruitment team in their Application Tracking System update, and helped redesign the New Nurse Experience Recruitment Program.
Pearson most recently served as Workforce Program Manager at CommonSpirit Health, where she partnered with Colorado, Utah, and western Kansas’s communities, including universities, community colleges, and more, to build apprenticeship and training opportunities for current and future employees. In this role, she led CommonSpirit's apprenticeship programs and New Grad RN Residency Recruitment team, helping to transition future nurses from the classroom to the bedside.
Jamie's passion now brings her to the National Center of the Apprenticeship Degree team, where she advances job-embedded educational and professional opportunities, particularly in healthcare, to elevate representative talent nationwide.
What led you to join NCAD as Director of Operations following your tenure as a NCAD partner?
My passion lies in creating pathways to meaningful careers and sustainable living wages. I am a firm believer in the transformative power of the apprenticeship model, which can be successfully applied across a variety of career pathways. This model not only drives individual success but also creates lasting impact for employers, education partners, and the workforce at large. Joining NCAD as Director of Operations allows me to contribute to the continued growth and expansion of this impactful approach. I am eager to work alongside this talented team to deliver positive, measurable outcomes for all stakeholders nationwide.
Describe your vision for this new role and its impact.
My vision for this role is to enhance operational efficiency by taking on key responsibilities that will allow our team members to focus on their areas of expertise and continue to excel. My first priority will be to thoroughly assess and understand the organization and the outstanding work already accomplished by the team. From there, I will collaborate with our team to streamline operations, optimize processes, and drive efficiency.
Additionally, I am committed to fostering strong relationships with both internal and external partners, empowering them to achieve shared goals. By aligning our efforts around strategic initiatives, I aim to establish a solid operational foundation that supports sustainable growth and positions us for a year of exciting opportunities and success.
